Oh... FUDGE!

Forget Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, and such. I'm a little bit vintage-hearted, so while I love almost every editorial those bigwigs have made, it's the editorials of Fudge Magazine that really captures my imagination. Their style walks the fine line between quirky, vintage and cutting-edge (being Japanese of origin, would you expect anything less? ;P).

If you love vintage, you'll love Fudge.

And so, time for some imagegasm (courtesy of clever nettle). Thanks Ms. Verdugo! :D

Thrifting Adventure #4

I think I have truly become obsessed with thrifting. My closet now consists of 40% thrifted stuff. And guess what? There isn't much space left. I so need to have a closet clearance... but will anyone buy my mostly unweared (yes, the horror!) stuff? (I haz an unweared, brand-new black cheongsam in good condition, among other goodies!)

But while I ponder over whether I'm willing to part with any of them and if it will all be a waste of time in the end because no one will want to buy my stuff...

As usual, please forgive my lousy photos. T__T

Remember my obsession with nude? Well they have manifested themselves physically through these:

Peach-coloured slightly sheer blouse from Carrefour Wangsa Maju's thrift stall.

Close-up of the details on the collar and the pocket.

Nude-coloured long-sleeved formal blouse. Also from Carrefour.

I'm saving this as my CNY dress... have to strengthen resolve to not wear it till then! From Carrefour.

Oh and I have found a darling flapper lookalike dress! Waistless and slightly frilly. Love it.
 From Carrefour as well.

I went back to that wonderful thrift shop in Sg Wang as well and scored these skirts, each for RM5:

Wool plaid skirt - I snagged it because its fall hues are reminiscent of Zara.

One of my best finds... a baby blue (Zooey Deschanel came to mind at once) GAP skirt.
And if you see closely there is a lacey lining underneath, making this skirt a full one. Yay!

And now back to my normal haunt at Amcorp Mall... I was a good girl and refrained from emptying the entire contents of my purse. Instead I kept myself to my RM20 budget and walked away with these:

Its cuteness is indescribable.
Dusty pink? Check. Babydoll cutting? Check. Full skirt? Check. Poofy sleeves? Check. Hoodie? Check.
It is awesome.

Last but certainly not least, an Alice-like dress in baby blue stripes, a gorgeous lacey hem (not seen clearly here) and adorable daisies around the collar (yes, those are cloth daisies, hehe).
Love the full swing skirt as well.

Sooner or later I'm not going to be able to fit them all into my closet... eeeps! I need to stop spending! Consider my CNY shopping done. ;P

I'll leave you guys with a song that best describes my mindscape for now...

Oh and just wondering... if I were to sell some of my preloved clothes (many still in good condition, though have been through at least one time of washing)... would anyone be interested? Heehee.
